".....it (Port Fairy) is the best value golf in the world - without question."  Golf Australia

Men: 320 metre, Par 4;
Women:  282 metre, Par 4

A straight par four slopes from left to right to a back to front sloping green.
Be sure to drive down the left side of the fairway to keep it from rolling down steep slopes to the right.

Men: 142 metre, Par 3;
Women: 120 metre, Par 3

Terrific short to mid-range par three with great views off to the right and first real view of the ocean on left.

Men: 465 metre, Par 5;
Women: 387 metre, Par 5

A very simple straightforward par five the only hazard being the out-of-bounds line to the right and marram left.
Views from the tee one of the most stunning in Australian golf, this hole skirts the Southern Ocean from tee to green. Superb views back to Port Fairy and the lighthouse

Note: On this hole, the 14th, 15th and 16th you may be lucky enough to see dolphins frolicking offshore or even the majestic Southern Right Whales that visit our shores during their calving season between May and September

Men:  278 metre, Par 4;
Women: 267 metre, Par 4

Short par four with the fairway and green sloping sharply from right to left.
Best to keep as far right as possible off the tee and be sure to hit right side of green.

Men: 408 metre, Par 4;
Women: 335 metre, Par 4

This is the most challenging hole on the course with out-of-bounds on the right; the second shot is made difficult by the wind coming off the sea to the right of the green

Note: This is Port Fairy's 'signature' hole with magnificent views of Mills Reef to the right from the men's tee leading steeply downhill toward the green which is back-dropped by the Southern Ocean.

Men: 178 metre, Par 3;
Women: 140 metre, Par 3

Spectacularly redesigned in 2006 to hug the coastline, the 'new' 15th has been described as "the best new hole in Australia" and is certain to become one of the most photographed.

Hardest par 3 on the course and important not to miss the green to the right.

Men:  365 metre, Par 4;
Women:  325 metre, Par 4

A sweeping dogleg left this par four has a blind tee shot with the second shot to the green made more difficult by a sloping elevated green.

Mounded typical links fairway.

Note: Right hand side of fairway is only metres from the beach which lies just beyond the sand dune.

Men:  367 metre, Par 4;
Women: 324 metre, Par 4

Medium length par four over the hill with out-of-bounds close to right hand side of the fairway. Bunkered right and left of green.

Men: 484 metre, Par 5;
Women: 401 metre, Par 5

Men's longest par five. Position your shot to the right for the best angle to the green in front of the Clubhouse.

Golf at Port Fairy is typical of the great Scottish courses, such as St Andrews, Troon and Carnoustie. Golfers who have never had the experience of playing these courses should take the opportunity to visit the district for a unique experience. Wind is a factor when you play golf at Port Fairy, and the choice of club varies from day to day. For example a 111 metre par 3 can be played on one day with a wedge and on another with a 4 iron. Generally however tees and greens have a measure of wind protection to keep the game comfortable.
